A New Semester

Today marked the beginning of an end. Today was my first day of my last semester in high school. I know, it is crazy. In one month and seven days I will find out if I am accepted to the university that I have been working to get into for pretty much my entire life. If accepted I will be starting classes there in five months and two days. In four months and eight days I will graduate. It is insane that I count down to everything like this. I wonder who I am related to??
On A days I have a relatively easy schedule. I start off the day by working with the special needs students, it is called being a Peer Tutor. In the hour that I am a peer tutor, it is their cooking class period, and I think it will be a load of fun. After that I make my way to AP Psychology, which is an awesome class because I learn a load, but I am so interested in what I am learning. Plus the teacher is amazing. Then I have Seminary with Bro. Dixon who I had sophomore year as well. He calls me Kass-Kass. I know, weird. After that I am a Counseling Office TA, because I am National Honor Society President along with Caren, and our adviser is a counselor, so that is when we get everything done.
B days are a lot harder. I start off with Journalism, which involves a LOAD of work, believe me. After that I make my way to College Writing where I get to hone my writing skills again. For third period I go to AP Literature and Composition, where I write millions of essays, analyze everything from comedies to poetry compliments of authors such as Shakespeare, Dunn, Henry James, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Jane Austen, and many others. It is an insanely difficult class, but I LOVE it. After that I am a teacher's assistant for Miss Baker, the newspaper adviser. Since I am the editor, I have this period to get all of my editorial duties done, it is very helpful.
So far, it looks like this semester is going to be a great one. Even though most of my friends are at different schools, I still have really good friends at Payson, and I get to see my friends from Salem Hills often. I am excited to have fun finishing off this time in my life, and preparing for what lies ahead.

reading about all your 'loads' of stuff makes me tired, you are an awesome senior to still be taking hard classes at the end, good job, I hope you get into BYU.
