Prom

Alright, this is pretty good, I just waited a few days... but let us start with The Easter Egg hunt. Don't I look fantastic in my PAJAMA shirt (well, I was getting my hair done later and a button up shirt works best for that so as not to mess up the hair when changing)? I know, I just should have gone to Prom like that. Alas, it would not match Tyler if I did. Side note... FOUR out of the six girls in my group were in blue. FOUR! The other girl was in purple. Okay... now I can talk about the Easter Egg hunt. I got my thirty eggs, it was lovely, it is a fabulous tradition. I ran inside to be with the FOUR girls getting ready at my house. Three of which were wearing blue. I'm just saying.

If you read my mother's blog, you know that Tyler was early by ten minutes. Luckily, I was ready. After much panic on my part, I wanted to look simply perfect, and perfection takes time!

Cute couple right? I never would have thought that I would end up wearing red... but I did.

From left to right is BreeAnn McCleve, my best friend who lives in Virginia, Devan, her date, me, and then Tyler Tarter. I look SO short. But Bree was wearing heels, and I was wearing flats.

Tyler putting on my corsage.

Me pinning on the boutonniere for the FIRST time that night... I am not so good at that.

I suppose you all would like a description of the date. Well, they picked us up at five, then we went to Devan's, so his parents could take pictures. We then went to the Arby's in Orem. Now before you skeptics start, let me explain the whole thing... They set up a bunch of fancy dishes in the party room downstairs, and we ate on fancy plates, with fancy glasses, etc. It was way fun actually. A. I was not too worried about ordering anything way to expensive, B. I was not afraid of ordering something I wouldn't like, and C. I was with a bunch of friends, and I was going to have fun regardless. After this, we were supposed to go to a Twilight Spoof, but some people took too long getting to dinner. So we went to the Orem Mall and played couple hide and seek. It was great fun! We then headed to the dance to party the night away. (Until 11 of course). I was so tired by the end, probably because I got about fiveish hours of sleep the night before... oops!! I made it home, and I had an amazing night. Thanks Tyler!!

Pre-Prom Update

So, Obviously I do not have Prom pictures yet. Prom is on April 11. However, I thought I might update this blog to say that I have been asked, and I have answered. I should probably post some pictures as well. So here it goes.

One day, I came home from feeding the homeless, and I saw a dozen long stemmed roses on my counter with a card right next to them. They were for me from Tyler. At the end of the card it said that he wanted to ask me a question and to go to the back to find out what it was. So, I went to the back yard and there was Tyler holding a sign that said Will you go to Prom with me? I was pretty excited!!
So, I had to come up with a way to answer him. So I used a special little pan that we had to make a cake that looked like a mushroom. I put a paper with it that said, "YES! I would love to go to Prom with a "fungi" like you!"
So there you have it. My general Prom update. Yes, I have my dress, and I will post pictures of the dance at some point after. In that post I will describe getting FOUR girls ready at my house, the date, and how we pulled it off on Easter Saturday. Until then, this is Kassi Miller, signing out.
