Sweethearts

So, I asked my friend Tyler Tarter to Sweethearts on Saturday; no, he has not answered yet. But I took pictures on my phone of it. He goes to Salem Hills High School, so I always tell him that he is a traitor for going there. So that explains the green (Payson is green). The punching bag is surrounded with streamers, and the hearts say: "Join the green side for a night! Will you go to Sweethearts with me?" The balloon on the punching bag said something to the effect of:Pop the balloons to find me. I put a picture of me in one of the balloons... of course the balloon was in his closet. Anyway, I thought that you would all enjoy seeing the pictures... so enjoy!

***UPDATE****

Tyler answered me, and I will post pix soon!

A New Semester

Today marked the beginning of an end. Today was my first day of my last semester in high school. I know, it is crazy. In one month and seven days I will find out if I am accepted to the university that I have been working to get into for pretty much my entire life. If accepted I will be starting classes there in five months and two days. In four months and eight days I will graduate. It is insane that I count down to everything like this. I wonder who I am related to??
On A days I have a relatively easy schedule. I start off the day by working with the special needs students, it is called being a Peer Tutor. In the hour that I am a peer tutor, it is their cooking class period, and I think it will be a load of fun. After that I make my way to AP Psychology, which is an awesome class because I learn a load, but I am so interested in what I am learning. Plus the teacher is amazing. Then I have Seminary with Bro. Dixon who I had sophomore year as well. He calls me Kass-Kass. I know, weird. After that I am a Counseling Office TA, because I am National Honor Society President along with Caren, and our adviser is a counselor, so that is when we get everything done.
B days are a lot harder. I start off with Journalism, which involves a LOAD of work, believe me. After that I make my way to College Writing where I get to hone my writing skills again. For third period I go to AP Literature and Composition, where I write millions of essays, analyze everything from comedies to poetry compliments of authors such as Shakespeare, Dunn, Henry James, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Jane Austen, and many others. It is an insanely difficult class, but I LOVE it. After that I am a teacher's assistant for Miss Baker, the newspaper adviser. Since I am the editor, I have this period to get all of my editorial duties done, it is very helpful.
So far, it looks like this semester is going to be a great one. Even though most of my friends are at different schools, I still have really good friends at Payson, and I get to see my friends from Salem Hills often. I am excited to have fun finishing off this time in my life, and preparing for what lies ahead.

My Official Dating Report

So, for those of you who continually ask me about the boys of my life (because there are so many, j/k), I have decided to appease you with a brief update on my dating life. This weekend, I went on two dates. I know, take a moment to gasp in amazement, believe me, after not having a date for a couple of months, I was shocked too. You good? Great, me too! Let's move on, shall we?
On Thursday, I had a date with Jack, my cousin Daniel's roommate, we doubled with Daniel and Becca. We went to Jump On It in Lindon. It took a while for us to get on the right path, but eventually we made it. It was so much fun! For those of you who don't know, Jump On It is this warehouse looking place filled with trampolines all connected together, and it has a velcro wall. Yes, I tried the velcro wall, and yes, it was fantastic. Click here and then click on see inside to get a look at what I am talking about. Except, when you do that, imagine it full with the guys from ROTC and their dates. It was pretty sweet! Afterwards, we went to Daniel's building's lobby to play Balderdash. I lost... miserably. It was tragic, but fun. Jack won.
On Saturday, I had a date with Tyler. We went ice skating. For those of you who have seen me skate, I will hold for the laughter. It's okay, just let it out, laughter is healthy for you, and since I probably can't see you, it works out well. Finished? Sweet! Yes, I was horrible, Tyler helped me out, and he did a fairly good job, I only fell once. But I just about hyperventilated every time we ventured away from the wall. I made a myriad of shrieks and other crazy annoying noises. Sorry Tyler! Hopefully you did not lose your hearing. After that we all went to Tyler's house for Donuts and Hot Chocolate. (We being, Tyler, me, Garrett, Amanda, Austin, and Carolle). I had a fabulous time, even if I didn't do so well on the skates.
Both dates were a lot of fun, and I hope that everyone is pleased with my reports on both of them.
